Enhancing Our Community: How Our Property Management Team Keeps Our Neighborhood Beautiful

At Hassalo on Eighth, we believe that luxury living extends beyond the walls of our homes. It’s about fostering a sense of community, responsibility, and care for the environment around us. That’s why every month, our dedicated Property & Maintenance Management team takes the time to clean up the streets and public spaces in our neighborhood, ensuring that Portland remains the vibrant and beautiful city we all love.

Our Commitment to a Cleaner, Greener Neighborhood

We recognize that a clean and well-maintained neighborhood contributes to the quality of life for all residents. Beyond the aesthetic appeal, regular clean-up efforts help reduce pollution, promote public health, and preserve the natural beauty of our surroundings. Our team, alongside volunteers from the building, dedicates a few hours each month to picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, and disposing of debris in an environmentally friendly way.

Why We Do It

Portland is known for its lush green spaces, innovative urban planning, and strong community spirit. We are proud to be a part of a city that values sustainability and environmental stewardship. By actively participating in neighborhood clean-up efforts, we’re doing our part to maintain these standards and inspire others to do the same. We believe that small acts, when done consistently, can lead to significant positive change. even if it’s picking up a piece of litter, every contribution counts towards creating a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment for everyone.

Lloyd District Transformation

Just like small actions to make a better property, powers that be in the Lloyd District (where Hassalo is the heart) are making conscious efforts to elevate the District from it’s history of forgotten urban spaces. Eco-Lloyd, a Community Organization dedicated to making the neighborhood sustainable and more livable, has officially gotten the coveted Eco-District Certification, a title held for urban communities that are making positive changes to become green and walkable. Our Team clean-ups are a tiny part of this effort and we are excited to be part of Lloyd’s transformation into a beacon of sustainable living.

If you see our Team walking around with buckets and trash pickers, feel free to join in or say hello. We want to make sure our residents have the height of livability at Hassalo, and we are boots on the ground doing the work to make sure it stays that way.
