Lloyd Center Reimagined

If you know anything about Portland, it’s likely you’ve been to, or at least heard of our long-standing mall: The Lloyd Center. Hassalo sits across the street from this behemoth of an urban property, and our residents are often seen wandering the mall corridors or patronizing the food court still operating on the third floor. Project Lemonade and Hassalo Team-up for Foster Youth

Here at Hassalo, we like to integrate into our community outside of our city block radius, and introduce residents to the many gems of hardworking organizations located in our neighborhood. Many businesses and non-profits tucked in our community fold are forging efforts to make Lloyd the next big thing in Portland. Amenities at Hassalo

Aster Tower spa with high end wood finishes from the Aster Tower, a luxury Portland apartment building in Portland, Oregon

While there’s always a new venue or restaurant to check out in and around NE Portland where Hassalo on Eighth stands, the rain and cold weather coming from Oregon’s autumn makes leaving home less appealing. Hassalo’s amenities are unique to each individual building on the block: Aster Tower, Velomor and the Elwood Building. Whichever building Amenities at Hassalo

Food Trucks on Hassalo Street

Hassalo Street sits in the middle of Hassalo on Eighth’s property, and is typically bustling with delivery trucks, bicyclists, pedestrians, and their dogs. Since we do not have public traffic through this central avenue of the community, it’s always easy to have vendors roll-up and park along the curbs between our three buildings, Aster Tower, Food Trucks on Hassalo Street

The Bloom Tour PDX

Flowers are always trendy and Portland is well aware. The Bloom Tour PDX is an annual 2-week long floral art exhibition using the city as a gallery for local florists. During the end of May and first weeks of June, Portland florists are assigned to a small business in the area and with collaboration, create The Bloom Tour PDX

Lloyd Eco District Map

Hassalo on Eighth sits in a unique neighborhood in NE Portland’s Lloyd District. For decades, the community was considered a business district and home to the Lloyd Center Mall. Covid and technological progress have re-shaped what Lloyd looks like, and Hassalo is proud to be a part of the now re-imagined Eco-District, a coveted title Lloyd Eco-District and Hassalo’s Commitment to a Sustainable Neighborhood
