Forest Park
Just a short drive from downtown Portland, Forest Park is one of the largest urban forests in the United States. Spanning over 5000 acres, its a haven for hiking, trail running and bird watching. The Park boasts more than 80 miles of trails, including the popular Wildwood Trail, which offers a scenic journey through lush forest landscapes. From Hassalo, you’ll be there in minutes, with a short jaunt over the Willamette River.

Columbia River Gorge
A bit further afield, the Columbia River Gorge is a must-visit destination for anyone in the Portland area. This spectacular canyon, carved by the Columbia River, offers stunning vistas, numerous waterfalls, and a plethora of outdoor activities. Multnomah Falls, the most iconic of these waterfalls, plunges 620 feet and is easily accessible via a short hike. Mount Hood
